For 17 years we have brought southwestern Ohio the finest in traditional music and dance events from around the world and our own backyard. CITYFOLK also brings Dayton the National Folk Festival, presents film and theatre and conducts educational workshops - all showcasing a wide range of artists and reflecting the rich, cultural diversity of the Dayton community.

Pennsylvania Local Folk Arts Programs

The Philadelphia Folklore Project is a 14-year-old independent public folklife agency committed to paying attention to the experiences and traditions of "ordinary" people. Their focus is on sustaining the diverse folk arts of the greater Philadelphia region.

The Rivers of Steel web site of the Steel Industry Heritage Corporation (SIHC) offers a virutal journey through the rich industrial history of southwestern Pennsylvania that made Pittsburh and the surrounding communities the engine of America's growth for much of the 19th and 20th century.  The mission of the SIHC is to conserve, interpret, promote and manage the historic, cultural, natural and recreational resources of steel and related industries in southwestern Pennsylvania and to develop uses for these resources so they may contribute to the economic revitalization of the region.
